My last Week's Shooting-Marathon

-EN: Concerning shootings I had a lot going on last week. I have to say, with every shooting I make, I like my job even more :)

-DE: In der letzten Woche ist bei mir was Shootings betrifft einiges gelaufen und ich muss sagen, mit jedem Shooting gefällt mir mein Job noch ein bisschen besser:)

Friday  28.02.2014 

-EN: Today I shooted the whole day with one Photographer and two models. I made with each model 3 different make-up-looks. It was really exhausting, but I like changing make-ups during a shooting, it gives me some other work than only "re-powdering" and "arranging the hair" :)
On this day I was once again very happy, that I am not in front of the camera. If I would have been the model I would have ran away crying, so nice was the photographer with them…but he did make really nice pictures, you have to give him that.


-DE: Heute habe ich den ganzen Tag mit einem Fotografen und zwei Models gearbeitet. Bei jedem Model habe ich 3x das Mal das Make-up geändert. Es war anstrengend, aber eigentlich mag ich das Prinzip von verschiedenen Make-ups während einem Shooting, dann habe ich wenigstens immer etwas zu tun, ausser "Nachpudern" und "Haarerichten":)
An diesem Tag war ich einmal mehr sehr froh, dass ich nicht vor der Kamera bin, denn wäre ich ein Model gewesen, wäre ich wahrscheinlich weinend vom Set gerannt, so nett war der Fotograf mit ihnen…aber sehr hübsche Fotos sind dabei herausgekommen, das muss man ihm lassen.



Saturday 01.03.2014

-EN: I spent the whole day in a lovely Studio in the 11th Arrondissement. In the morning I shooted with the very talented talented photographer, Alexandre Behtash. The model was a powerful and very nice italian girl. She was so glad that she could speak Italian with me, that she didn't mind at all that I mixed a lot of french words in my Italian;)  It was really a lot of fun!
In the afternoon I worked with David Khieng and a french model. In the beginning she was a little more reserved (no wonder after an italian hurricane;)), but after a while she loosened up and it was a really nice atmpsphère at the set :)


-DE: Den Heutigen Tag habe ich in einem hübschen Studio im 11 Arrondissement verbracht. Am Morgen war das Shooting mit einem sehr talentierten Fotografen, Alexandre Behtash. Das Model war eine aufgestellte und supernette Italienerin. Sie war so froh, dass sie mit mir Italienisch sprechen konnte, dass es sie nichtmal gestört hat, dass ich die ganze Zeit französische Wörter in mein Italienisch gemischt habe ;)  Es hat wirklich sehr viel Spass gemacht!
Am Nachmittag habe ich denn mit David Khieng geshootet und einem französischen Model. Das Model war anfangs etwas reservierter (kein Wunder nach einem italienischen Wirbelsturm;)), doch mit der Zeit ist auch sie aufgetaut und es war eine gute Stimmung am Set :)

-EN: Today's shooting was for a young parisian stylist and photographer, more precisely for her fashion-blog Y A QUOI DANS TA PENDERIE. It was stunning weather and I prepared the hair & make-up of the models on Place de la Concorde in the backside of a car. It was really a lot of fun. The Shooting-Places were the Tuileries, Place de la Concorde and the Grand Palais. At the Grand Palais the Chloé-show was going on and the Paparazzos and bloggers had about 10 minutes to figure out, that our models weren't part of the show:)


-DE: Das heutige Shooting war für eine junge pariser Stilistin und Fotografin für ihren Fashion-Blog Y A QUOI DANS TA PENDERIE. Es war wunderbar schönes Wetter und ich habe die Models am Place de la Concorde im Kofferraum eines Autos geschminkt und frisiert. Es hat wirklich sehr viel Spass gemacht. Danach wurde in den Tuileries, auf dem Place de la Conorde und beim Grand Palais geshoted. Beim Grand Palais war gerade die Fashionshow von Chloé und die Paparazzos und Blogger haben ca.10 Minuten gebraucht, bis sie realisiert haben, dass unsere Models nicht zur Show gehörten :)


Monday 03.03.2014

-EN: This day I exceptionally didn't have to do the hair as well, because a hairstylist was part of the team. It was a bit strange for me, but fun as well, so I could watch someone else's work which I always find very interesting. The shooting was very nice and there was a good atmosphere.


-DE: Heute habe ich mal ausnahmsweise nur das Make-up gemacht, da auch eine Hairstylistin dabei war. Es war etwas ungewohnt, doch hat es auch Spass gemacht, mal bei jemandem anderen zuzusehen, wie er arbeitet:) Das Shooting war sehr nett und es war eine gute Stimmung.

-EN: Today I had a "Shooting en famille" with Pierre and Lola. It was for a campaign for a parisian fashion-brand, so we made a big effort and shooted lots of different outfits. It was really a lot of fun! My favorite on this shooting was the hairstyle. I made kind of an afro-look with a special technique. It was a lot of work, but I love the result, take a look at it yourself:


-DE: Heute hatte ich ein "Shooting en familie" mit Pierre und Lola. Es war für die Kampagne eines Pariser Modelabels, also haben wir einigen Aufwand betrieben und viele Outfits geshootet. Es hat superviel Spass gemacht. Mein absoluter Liebling bei diesem Shooting waren die Haare, die ich mit einer speziellen Technik zu einer Art Afro gemacht habe. Es war sehr aufwändig, aber ich liebe das Resultat, schaut selbst:

-EN: It was my first day off this week. I spent most of the day in this cute old-fashioned little library to do my  french homework. Besides my work I absolve a language-class at the Sorbonne University, to improve my french. Sometimes it's hard to concentrate in this lovely library because of the beautiful view:


-DE: Heute war mein einziger freier Tag diese Woche. Ich verbrachte ihn grösstenteils in einer hübschen, altmodischen Bibliothek, um meine Hausaufgaben zu erledigen für meinen Französischkurs welchen ich nebenbei an der Sorbonne absolviere. Ich liebe diese kleine Bibliothek, doch ist es manchmal ganz schön schwer sich zu konzentrieren, bei dieser Aussicht:

-EN: The shooting I had today was for a competition organized by MAC. Every year a selection of students from a very prestigious parisian fashion- and designer school can present their fashion- and make-up collection. There is alwas a theme corresponding to which one the students have to present their campaign. This year's theme was sport. Of course every campaign needs as well a make-up which represents it. I created it for one of the students. I really like her collection and I think she's very talented. The concept was working with positive- and negative colors, she took blue and yellow. I really like this idea it's cool and original.
The shooting itself was really fun. The girls were very nice and super motivated, even the designer passed some sleepless nights because of the project.
Now we just have to hope, that we will win the contest :)


-DE: Das heutige Shooting war für einen Wettbewerb organisiert von MAC. Jedes Jahr dürfen ein paar ausgewählte Schüler einer renommierten Pariser Mode-Schule eine Mode- und Make-up-Kollektion zu einem bestimmten Thema vorstellen und eine Kampagne präsentieren. Das Thema dieses Jahr war Sport. Natürlich braucht es hierzu auch ein entsprechendes Make-up. Dieses habe ich für eine der Schülerinnen entworfen. Ihre Kollektion gefiel mir wirklich sehr gut, sie ist sehr talentiert. Das Hauptprinzip war mit Positiv- Negativfarben zu arbeiten, sie nahm Blau und Gelb. Diesen Ansatz finde ich wirklich cool und originell.
Das Shooting selbe hat auch sehr viel Spass gemacht, die Mädels waren wirklich supernett und motiviert, wenn auch etwas kaputt von mehreren schlaflosen Nächten des Projekts wegen.
Jetzt bleibt nur noch zu hoffen, dass wir gewinnen :)

-EN: In the last moment today's shooting was annulated, because the model cancelled in the last minute (unfortunately this happens quite a lot). That's why I spent this days morning in the library and in the afternoon I enjoyed the most beautiful weather together with my friend in the Jardin de Luxembourg, having coffee and discovering lot of different things in the streets of Paris like 3-minute-cinemas and much more. At the end of the day I was kind of happy that the shooting was annulated, because I spent a wonderful day and the rest of the week was exhausting enough…;)


-DE: I letzten Moment wurde das für Heute geplante Shooting abgesagt, da das Model kurzfristig abgesagt hat (leider relativ oft der Fall). Deshalb verbrachte ich den heutigen Tag morgens in der Bibliothek und am Nachmittag genoss ich das himmlische Wetter mit meiner Freundin im Jardin de Luxembourg und danach spazierten wir durch die Strassen von Paris und entdeckten 3-Minuten-Kinos und vieles mehr. Am Ende des Tages war ich fast froh, dass das Shooting abgesagt wurde, denn ich hatte einen wunderbaren Tag und der Rest der Woche war ja auch anstrengend genug gewesen...;)

Bobbi Brown Spring-Collection 2014

On my way home from a shooting today, I passed by a Bobbi Brown shop and I saw the poster of the new spring collection 2014. I must admit, I do not like how they put Katie Holmes on it in scene. I really think that she normally is very pretty, but her cheekbones look very strange on the poster. It makes her look old and so serious. But because I love Bobbi Brown I entered and tested the new products :) The theme of the collection is Nectar & Nude, which I think is very pretty for spring!
Here a little overview, starting with my favorites:


Als ich heute auf dem Nachhauseweg von einem Shooting war, kam ich an einer Bobbi Brown Boutique vorbei und sah das Plakat der neuen Spring 2014 Kollektion. Ich muss ganz ehrlich sagen, ich finde Katie Holmes eigentlich sehr hübsch, aber auf diesem Plakat gefällt sie mir gar nicht. Die Wangenknochen sehen irgendwie komisch aus und es macht sie irgendwie älter und so ernst. Aber da ich Bobbi Brown liebe, bin ich natürlich sofort hinein gegangen und habe die Produkte getestet :) Das Thema der Kollektion ist Nectar & Nude, was ich sehr schön finde für den Frühling!
Hier eine kleine Übersicht, beginnend mit meinen Favoriten:

Pot Rouge "Hibiscus" for Lips & Cheeks 27,50€

The cream blush is really gorgeous. I love the color which instantly gives you a fabulous spring-looking freshness on your face. Cream blushes are perfect for a very natural effect and this one has a very nice texture and leaves no ugly marks while putting it on. And you can also use it as a lip tint, great!


Der Creme-Blush hat mich wirklich entzückt. Es ist eine wirklich hübsche Farbe, die sofort eine Frühlingshafte Frische ins Gesicht zaubert. Creme-Blushs sind ideal für einen sehr natürlichen Effekt und dieser ist sehr angenehm von der Textur und gibt keine wüsten Flecken beim Auftragen. Zudem kann man ihn auch noch als Lip Tint benutzen, perfekt!

Nectar & Nudes Eye Palette 58€

The eye-shadows are a mix of matt and sparkling colors, perfect for day- and night looks. There is also a light cream-shadow, perfect to use as a base. With the little brush inside the palette it's ideal to carry it in your handbag!


Die Lidschattenpalette ist eine Mischung aus matten und glitzernden Farben, perfekt für Tages- und Abend Make-ups. Zusätzlich hat es einen hellen Creme-Lidschatten, super als Grundierung! Mit dem kleinen Pinsel dabei, ist sie perfekt für jede Handtasche!

Apricot Shimmer Brick 48,50€

The apricot shimmer brick has a wonderfully fresh color (it looks a bit different in real than on this picture) and it gives you a charming shine on your checks like freshly sun kissed.


Der Apricot Shimmer Brick hat eine wunderbar frische Farbe (ist auf dem Foto nicht ganz so wie in Original) und zaubert einen verführerischen Glanz auf die Wangen, wie frisch von der Sonne geküsst.

High Shimmer Lip Gloss 25,50€ & Nail Polish 19,50€

I put together the lip glosses and the nail polishes, because I wasn't convinced of them. The colors are really nice, but honestly nothing special and for that just too expensive! You can easily find this colors from other brands, cheaper and as good as them. Besides Bobbi Brown isn't really known for nail polishes, so I prefer buying one at OPI or essie, for less money and surely even better...


Die Lipglosses und Nagellacke habe ich zusammengenommen, da sie mich nicht sehr überzeugten. Zwar finde ich die Farben  von beiden hübsch, doch ganz ehrlich sind sie nichts besonderes und für das einfach zu teuer! Diese Farben findet man auch bei anderen Marken günstiger und genauso gut. Zudem ist Bobbi Brown nicht wirklich für Nagellacke bekannt, da kaufe ich mir lieber einen OPI oder essie, die günstiger und bestimmt auch besser sind..

Typical Parisian Look

The typical make up of the parisian women is very simple and classic: black eyeliner and flashy red lips. I really like this look, especially the touch of color at the usually always black dressed Parisians (not a cliche!). The only thing that bothers me and that I've already seen often is, that they hardly ever put on a foundation. The most important thing for me is an even and nice looking skin. And unfortunately almost anybody has the perfect complexion given by nature. The trick is to make it look very naturals as if you didn't put on any make-up.

I made this parisian-make-up on my wonderfully friend Klara from Sweden, but hey, everybody looks great with this look! As I mentioned I made a very natural and even skin and just put on some gunpowder to blush the cheeks. I did the lips in a matt red, this trend is still going on. The eyeliner I kept classical black. And as I love big eyebrows, I marked them pretty strong to give a modern touch to the look.

Voilà finished is the timeless classical parisian make-up! Hope you guys like it as much as I do!

Das typische Make-up der Pariserinnen ist sehr simpel und klassisch: schwarzer Eyeliner mit knallroten Lippen. Ich muss sagen es gefällt mir sehr gut, vor allem der Farbtupf bei den sonst fast nur schwarz angezogenen Pariserinnen (kein Klischee!). Das einzige was ich schade finde und oft bemerkt habe ist, dass sie fast nie Make-up auftragen. Ich finde ein schöner Teint ist das Wichtigste und leider hat ihn fast niemand von Natur aus. Der Trick dabei ist natürlich auszusehen, als hätte man gar kein Make-up benutzt.

Umgesetzt habe ich Look bei meiner Freundin Klara aus Schweden, aber hey, der Pariserinnen-Look geht wirklich mit jedem! Wie bereits erwähnt, habe ich einen schön ebenmässigen und natürlichen Teint gemacht und die Wangen nur mit etwas Sonnenpuder "frisch" gemacht. Die Lippen habe ich in einem matten rot gemacht, dieser Trend hält sich weiterhin. Der Eyeliner ganz klassisch schwarz. Zusätzlich habe ich die Augenbrauen gut betont, da ich grosse markante Augenbrauen liebe und um dem Ganzen einen modernen Touch zu geben. 

Voilà fertig ist der zeitlos klassische Pariserinnen-Look! Ich hoffe er gefällt euch genauso gut wie mir!

Le maquillage à la parisienne est simple et classique: eye-liner noir avec les lèvres rouges. À moi il me plaît beaucoup ce look, sur tout car il donne une touche de couleur au parisiennes qui sont souvent habillées que en noir (pas de clichée!). La seule chose que me dérange et que je trouve dommage est, qu'elles mettent souvent pas de fond de teint. Moi je trouve un joli teint est le plus important et malheureusement presque personne l'a donné de la nature. Le but est d'avoir l'air naturelle et ne pas maquillée du tout.

J'ai fait ce look sur ma merveilleuse copine Klara de la Suède, mais allez, le look parisienne va à tout le monde! Comme je l'ai déjà dit, j'ai fait un teint très naturel et équilibré. Sur les joues j'ai seulement mis un peu de poudre de soleil pour donne une coté fraiche. Les lèvres j'ai fait avec un rouge mat, car ce trend tient toujours. L'eyel-iner classique noir. En plus j'ai bien marqué les sourcils. J'adore les sourcils fortes et ça donne une touche moderne au look.

Voilà fini est l'intemporel et classique look à la parisienne! J'espère que vous l'aimez autant que moi!
